I decided to step outside my usual comfort zone of electronics and explore the fascinating world of chemistry. My interest sparked after reading Michael Faraday’s book, The Chemical History of a Candle. One of the experiments in the book describes Faraday creating a green flame. A green flame seemed fascinating. I decided to replicate the experiment by synthesizing copper chloride. You can watch my video to see how it turned out!
I created my own spectroscope using a broken CD and a cardboard tube to study the spectral patterns of different light sources.
